Influenced by artists and bands such as, Ben Howard, James Bay, The War on Drugs and Bruce Springsteen, O’Leary implements roots of folk with ethereal soundscapes, shimmering guitars and the electric energy of rock to create the melancholic sound discovered within his music.
Having cut his teeth playing across the UK, including major festivals such as Latitude, Wild Paths and Lakefest, Leon has built a reputation as one to watch after being named among BBC Introducing East’s ‘Artists to Watch’. Now having released his first body of work in the debut EP ‘Pretend (To Be Saviours)’, O’Leary continues to showcase the emotive songwriting and inventive indie-folk instrumentation that has seen him gain acclaim across press and radio alike.
