Happninboy

15:00-15:25
Sunday 18 June
Playbreak Pavilion Takeover
East Point Pavilion

Happninboy is a one man wailing and hollering machine in the vane of Muddy Waters, Mississippi Fred McDowell, John Lee Hooker, and Son House. He has been a regular on the blues scene playing at various blues venues and festivals across the country. His love for the blues came early in his life in the form of the traditional Rock and Roll outfits of the 50’s which spawned out of the US blues culture.

He plays a variety of blues standards, his own tracks and classic covers according to taste and style. However, his infectious energy and foot stomping power thrills audiences even bewildered about the blues. He travels with his specialist guitar nicknamed the Jolly Pig because of its guttural miserable sound and is a pig to play!

Happninboy was selected to take part in the Pavilion Takeover through Playbreak, a new programme that spotlights the incredible creative talent in Lowestoft.
