Extra Time Creative Workshops

Across the weekend
Saturday 22/06/24 & Sunday 23/06/24
Cosmic Pirates Workshop Tent

Extra Time creative workshops invite children – and their families – to come and add their portrait to the Extra Time spectator board and then create their very own medal to take home.

Suffolk Artlink is a social impact arts charity, running projects designed to help people be creative, make connections and live well.

To achieve this, we develop and deliver inclusive, participatory arts programmes, often working in partnership with care, education, voluntary and community organisations.

We work with professional artists to devise all manner of creative projects, from exploring the world in textiles and clay to producing cyanotypes of precious china and composing sea shanties and lullabies.

Extra Time is our latest creative intergenerational project, in which we explore the rich cultural and social history of football, using documents from Suffolk Archives and county museums.

Extra Time brings primary school children together with residents in care homes and supported living units, to explore their local heritage, share their own stories and give fresh voices to archive materials.

Our public workshop at First Light welcomes families to come and make a ‘spectator’ of themselves, and create their very own Extra Time medal.
