Hirta Rounds

22.00-22.30

St Peter and St John Church

Immerse yourself in this ‘in the round’ performance of David Fennessy’s work Hirta Rounds.  For centuries a small community thrived on the remote island of Hirta off the Atlantic coast of Scotland but the islanders were forced to evacuate in 1930. Today, only the small shells of their houses exist on the islands landscape.

Linking with our Cardinal Points theme, Hirta Rounds is led by Donald Grant, Head of Chamber Music at Royal Northern College of Music with young members of the conservatoire performing.
