Lowestoft and it’s surroundings are buzzing with musical talent and creative energy, which we want to see represented at First Light 2024.
We’re inviting local musicians to apply to play on stages across the festival weekend, showcasing the best of the East amongst our line up of national talent. Our panel of experts will also be inviting one act for a special slot on our main Sunlight Stage.
We want to hear from musicians who:
– Live, work or gig regularly in Lowestoft and its surroundings
– Are over 25
– Have at least 45 minutes of original material
– Are available to perform across the First Light Weekend (22 – 23 June 2024)
Applications are now open and close 17:00, Friday 3 November 2023. Once applications close, our panel of experts will listen to all music submitted, and select a line-up for First Light Festival 2024. We’ll be in touch with successful applicants by Monday 11th December 2023.
To apply, follow the link below and complete the form at the bottom of this page. We’ll need a link to a song/track of your choice, as well as a link to a video of you performing live (though this could just be you live from your bedroom). Make sure that both links aren’t private and so are accessible to the selection panel.
If you have any questions about the process, or if there are ways we can make the application process more accessible to you, please email Helen at Helen@firstlightlowestoft.com
Our panel is made up of representatives from the local music scene, including industry professionals and artists at different stages of their careers. They are…
