Volunteer with First Light at Longest Days of Summer
Whilst First Light Festival is not taking place this year, we are still planning a small celebration of the summer solstice, our community, and our beautiful coastline – and we need your help!
On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June, as part of First Light presents Longest Days of Summer, art works created by artists, schools and local people for our Beach of Dreams, First Flight and Kirkley Creates projects will be exhibited on Lowestoft’s South Beach, High Street and Kensington Gardens, accompanied by pop up live music and performances. More information on the programme can be found on the what’s on section of our website.
As the country might only just be opening up, this is a much smaller event and we are taking the necessary precautions to ensure we are working to current guidance and keeping everyone safe. Volunteers will play an integral role in helping us to deliver what promises to be a special weekend!
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to fill the following roles:
– Longest Days of Summer Event Stewards
– First Flight Exhibition Installation Volunteers
Please download and read the volunteer role description before applying for either position!
We welcome applications from volunteers of all backgrounds and abilities. Roles are allocated on experience and availability, however due to the terrain of the site there may be some roles and/or locations which are not suitable for everyone. We are more than happy to discuss access with volunteers on a case-by-case basis and strive to make reasonable adjustments where we can.
If you have any queries or questions regarding volunteering with First Light, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help!
The deadline for applications is Monday 7 June 2021.
We look forward to hearing from you!
