Art Deco Trio

08:30-09:15 Sunlight Stage
Sunday 19 June

The Art Deco Trio perform jazz-inspired arrangements of Classical and popular favourites. They bring fun, exuberance and brilliant display to well-known melodies. Their performance includes reworked versions of pieces by Vivaldi, Handel, Beethoven, Elgar, Wagner and Gershwin. The trio is made up of three friends and colleagues, who have performed together in numerous ensembles at many of the world’s major venues.

Pianist/arranger Iain Farrington has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney and performed at the opening of the London 2012 Olympics. Their recent recording of Gershwin arrangements was critically acclaimed, and broadcast on numerous radio stations across Europe. A follow-up album is due for release this year, featuring jazz arrangements of familiar Classical pieces.

Performances on the Sunlight Stage are viewable from the beach, trackway and Jubilee parade. Please note this is public access and not a managed viewing area. Seating is not provided.
