Join us for three delicious beach feasts created for First Light by renowned Suffolk chef Nicola Hordern in our First Light beach kitchen!

Nicola trained at Ballymaloe and spent time at Chez Panisse, Alice Waters iconic restaurant in California before training at Quo Vadis in London. Best known to many gourmonds in Suffolk as the chef behind the Darsham Nurseries Café – where after just two years she was named by the Observer newspaper as one of the best 50 people in British food.

Each feast will include a welcome drink and nibbles.


Friday Feast 19:00

Fish Stew with couscous and sea vegetable salad
Vegetarian: spring vegetable stew
Summer Pudding and elderflower cream


Saturday Night Feast 19:00
£25 per head
Spanish lamb & honey stew with spiced chickpeas
Vegetarian: whole roast cauliflower with chermoula, tahini sauce, and spiced chickpeas
Yoghurt sorbet, blackcurrant granita, fennel and alexanders


Sunday Brunch at the Fishers Gin Beach Club 10:00

Lowestoft kipper kedgeree with raita & flatbread
Vegetarian: Lentil & bean dhal with raita & flatbread
