Group A

11:45-12:00 Sunlight Stage
Sunday 19 June
This event will be BSL Interpreted

Group A is Britten Pears Arts’ vocal performance initiative for young people aged 8-18 from Lowestoft and Ipswich.  The group closed the 2019 First Light Festival with a dynamic performance of The Old Man and the Sea, which they created with composer/faciliator, Aga Serugo-Lugo and they opened the Longest Days of Summer event with a striking performance of Beach of Dreams co-created with the composer, Emily Levy.

For the 2022 First Light Festival, the young people have been working with Aga Serugo-Lugo and noise-maker and live synthesist, Loula Yorke, to create this new performance inspired by Suffolk myths and stories.
