Making Waves, Kensington Gardens

Try your hand at something fun and take home a homemade First Light Festival souvenir with Ceramic, Textiles, Letter Press, Printmaking and Cyanotype workshops.

The wonderful Print to the People will be hand printing personalised and boldly brilliant First Light Festival t-shirts, bags and more…

University of Suffolk, Lowestoft Campus – BA (Hons) Design students

 

Easterly

A group of Lowestoft and locally based visual artists formed in 2018 to promote the practice of local artists and encourage awareness and appreciation of their work.  www.easterly.org.uk

Maria Clarke-Wilson

A textile artist and natural dyer from Suffolk, who will be offering the opportunity to take part in two textile collaborations.  Using a Saori Loom, you will be able to choose from a selection of naturally dyed fibres and fabrics and weave these into the collaborative cloth.  Many yarns will be dyed using local plants foraged from Suffolk’s diverse landscapes.  Creating your own small woven signature, you’ll join with the festival community to create a unique piece of textile.  www.instagram.com/textilecollaborations

             

Waveney & Blythe Arts

A not-for-profit organisation, established and run by local people who through an annual programme of themed walks, talks, workshops, art exhibitions, sculpture trail, performances and events promotes the culture and character of the Waveney and Blyth valley area; supporting the work of local creative people and arts organisations, and building connections between people and place. www.waveneyandblytharts.com
