Mark Thomas: Bus Pass Punk

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are sorry that Mark Thomas is no longer able to perform at First Light Festival. We will be offering all bookers a full refund within the next 48 hours. We are however pleased to announce that replacing Mark will be Luke Wright performing his Late Night Dance Floor Fillers. Like the rest of our extensive First Word programme of comedy, spoken word and theatre, Luke’s performance will be free and unticketed.

21:15-22:15 First Word

Something old (me) something new (material) something borrowed (sing songs of old favourites) something blue (rants and gags on Johnson, capitalism and assorted villains from Putin to P&O).

Born in South London in 1963, Mark Thomas has been performing comedy for 35 years and has worked on various shows for Channel 4, Radio 4, the National Theatre and the Royal Opera House. His work is a mix of standup, theatre, journalism and the odd bout of performance art and describes himself as a “libertarian anarchist”.

The First Word tent has ramped access onto trackway from Jubilee Parade. Inside, there are solid wooden floors, and seating is available.
