Natural History Museum at Planet Postive
Across the Weekend
Science Dome, Planet Positive
Join scientists from the Natural History Museum and the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment to learn about biodiversity and our oceans. Looking at everything from marine giants such as the colossal squid and mighty blue whale, to highly venomous blue-ringed octopus and weird and wonderful ancient sharks; come and see some of the amazing creatures in person and learn how they have evolved to life in the oceans.
Find out how scientists track pollution in the ocean and what that means for the future of our planet, as well as learning about the balance between humans and nature in coastal ecosystems, and how beneficial these environments have been for communities in the UK and around the world. The team will be bringing along lots of real museum specimens for you to investigate as well as games and hands-on activities for the whole family to do together.
