Sunday 19 June
Piers Harrison-Reid is a performance poet primarily inspired by his time as an Accident and Emergency Nurse, and the stories of life and loss from the people he meets there.
Now perhaps best known for his viral BBC love poem to the NHS ‘Love is for the brave’, his pieces have had millions of views, tens of thousands of shares, and he organises Norwich’s ‘Unnamed’ Poetry Night which aims to bring unknown poets to more prominence online.
He has toured internationally, featured on BBC Look East & CNN International, is a frequent guest on BBC Radio Norfolk, performed at a multitude of summer festivals including stages at Bestival, Wild Paths and Latitude, and given keynote speeches to conferences including the Chief Nursing Officer of the NHS. Mostly he just hopes you’re having a good day.
