Jay Griffiths is the author of many books including ‘Wild: An Elemental Journey’ and ‘Why Rebel’. She has won the ‘Discover’ award and the Orion book prize and has written for Radiohead and the Royal Shakespeare Company. ‘If bravery itself could write, it would write like she does’ – John Berger.
Mapping the human spirit onto wild lands, Jay will discuss the essence of what is wild, outside and inside ourselves, considering how to curate this quintessential freedom. She will explore wild time and the so-called wildernesses protected by indigenous cultures and their philosophies.
