Laurence Edward’s practice is rooted in a fascination for human anatomy and with the interconnection of man, nature and time. Suffolk-based, Laurence’s work draws inspiration from the landscape – from the towering Yoxman sculpture alongside the A12 to Walking Men – the captivating work that has travelled around the world and which comes to the South Beach, Lowestoft, for First Light Festival.
Join Laurence as he talks about his work, his connections to Lowestoft – a place where he first studied art, the new development of Messums East in the former Post Office building in the town and his plans for the creation of a landmark sculpture for the UK’s most easterly place.
