A unique multi-arts solstice festival in a beautiful seaside setting featuring YOU!
 
Encompassing live music, DJ’s, dance, films, art, science, kid’s activities, talks, walks, sports and workshops as well the best regional food and drinks, First Light Festival is a central part of the cultural regeneration ambitions for Lowestoft and is aimed at increasing participation, enriching the local arts ecology and generating new creative skills opportunities. Our program is ambitious and exciting and we need a brilliant team of committed, enthusiastic and responsible volunteers to help us to deliver what promises to be another amazing event.
 
In return we hope to provide an opportunity to meet new people, try new things, gain experiences and be part of something special!
 
BEFORE YOU APPLY
You will need to be available for the following dates:
Saturday 21st and/or Sunday 22nd June for the Festival!
 
Volunteers for First Light Festival must be 16+. If you are under 18 we will require parental permission. Some of the roles we have are only for over 18s.

Roles are allocated on experience and availability, however due to the terrain of the festival site there may be some roles or locations which are not suitable for everyone. We Please let us know of any access requirements you may have in order for us to support you effectively in your application, we can discuss access requirements with volunteers on a case by case basis and will make reasonable adjustments where we can.

Whichever roles you wish to apply for, remember that working with people can be unpredictable and you may end up doing something that you didn’t quite expect, but may enjoy all the same.

We are looking for help from April with admin in our office and distributing programmes around Lowestoft and the local area. Times and dates are flexible and can be agreed subject to your availability.

We need 150+ volunteers to run First Light Festival and we could not do this without you! By submitting this form to us you confirm that the information given on this form is correct and complete and that misleading information will be sufficient for withdrawal of any offer of volunteering.
