Maple Ward

16:35-17:00 New Dawn
Saturday 18 June

Maple Ward is a 23 year old singer-songwriter, based in Norwich but originally from Southampton. She began writing as a way of finding solace from herself and the world around her; music is her means of catharsis. Maple’s sound combines sweet vocal hooks with folk inspired guitar riffs, as well as punchy ukulele pop. Her influences include Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers and Fleetwood Mac. Maple Ward expresses her authentic vulnerability through song and tells her stories from a raw perspective.

Maple regularly performs in Norwich. Last year she played at the “Head Out, Not Home” and “New Rock” festivals. Maple Ward frequently plays acoustic sets at The Merchant’s House and The Banham Barrel. Maple is looking forward to performing for the Jubilee Street Party celebrations as well as the Lord Mayor’s Procession in the coming months. Her work has been featured on BBC Radio Solent, and her song “Just Be” was broadcast on BBC South Today for mental health awareness week.
