A seasoned and in-demand live performer, Ashton has been fortunate enough to appear at some of the world’s most legendary stages and festivals. He has delivered multiple sold-out shows at Ronnie Scott’s, taken centre stage at the London Palladium, and was a featured artist for the inaugural Soul Jazz Summit at Cheltenham Jazz Festival. One of his most celebrated performances came in 2024 at the Royal Albert Hall, where he performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra to celebrate 50 years of Philadelphia Soul.
The Telegraph awarded the concert five stars, describing Ashton’s performance as “talented and charismatic.” Ashton returned to The Royal Albert Hall in 2025 to make his BBC Proms debut, delighting audiences with performances of Isaac Hayes’ ‘Shaft!’ And Ray Charles’ ‘In The Heat of The Night’.
As the creative force behind his original music The Ashton Jones Project, he has crafted a distinctive sound that channels the spirit of 70s funk and soul, infused with contemporary production and modern artistry. His debut album received widespread praise, accumulating over a million streams and establishing him as a mainstay in the British soul music scene.
