Inside Out – Writing for Life
Errol McGlashan is a South London spoken word artist playwright and performer whose work draws on lived experience. Blending humour honesty and intensity he shares poetry conversation and excerpts from his work showing how writing can transform lives.

Known for his powerful stage presence he creates performances that combine storytelling poetry and direct audience connection.
His acclaimed one person show Something to Take Off the Edge explores friendship survival and humour within a prison cell and has been recognised by the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of its 37 Plays project. A book version of the show is published by Insurgent Press.
Errol has performed across theatres festivals and community settings throughout the UK including an extensive tour of prisons and hostels where he has delivered performances and workshops focused on writing reading and personal growth. His work often centres on giving voice to overlooked experiences and encouraging others to find their own.
He is currently developing a new show which he will take to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August performing ten shows in seven days. Through his session Inside Out Writing for Life he brings together conversation poetry and performance to explore how creative expression can help people process their stories build confidence and find meaning through words.
