Purple City are the East Anglia meets East London record label and DJ duo that literally no-one asked for, but showed up anyway.
Comprised of Great Yarmouth born Fortiesfield aka Matthew D Bayfield and Leyton born Ashley Hill aka Ashley Hill,  when not running record labels Purple City (@purplecityco) and Kikuji (@kikujirecs) the duo shell down dances around the UK, host a militantly random radio show, occasionally bang out the odd film podcast and once even shot their own DJ focused cookery show.

Both music industry veterans with over a decade of experience as a video director and and A&R / manager respectively, as a label you can expect releases that fuse all myriad strains of UK rave music through a foundation of hip-hop and, by extension, rare-groove heritage.

L U is a Norwich-based DJ, producer, and vocalist whose sets radiate joy, connection, and femme energy. Inspired by disco’s liberating roots and a deep love of house and vocal-led dance music, she crafts emotionally rich, narrative-driven sets that invite freedom and self-expression. Her EP ‘Sonic Sister’ channels themes of empowerment, identity, and resilience — DJ Jaguar selected the title track as ‘Dancefloor Moment’ on her Radio 1 Dance show.
