James veira

A veteran of the Norfolk scene, James is mainly known for his original songs and unique takes on covers. His voice has been described as sounding like Eddie Vedder with a hint of Dave Grohl.

Mainly a solo artist but can also be seen fronting the Late Brakers and singing duets with Jennifer Ness. James these days is mainly to be found at the Banham Barrel hosting the Barrel Sessions ‘Later with James Veira’
James started performing late in life and was a regular on the Norwich open mic scene back in the day, picking up support slots, showcase nights and solo gigs across the city.

James got involved in hosting the open mic at Banham 10 years ago which transformed into the Barrel sessions after lockdown. These days his time is mostly spent on photography and videography as Veira Studios, but he still hosts the weekly music showcase, performing every Wednesday and producing performer videos. He still gets out to the occasional open mic or showcase gig in the city.
