About
Kate Ireland is a Glaswegian spoken-word artist whose work blends lyrical storytelling with warmth, wit, and a healthy dose of cheek. Her debut poetry collection, Adaptive Strategies for a Sensitive System, is published by Burning Eye Books.
Her acclaimed one-woman show Golden Time (and Other Behavioural Management Strategies) premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025 before transferring to Roundhouse and HOME.
Alongside her solo work, Kate collaborates on music projects with artists and DJs, and has supported Antony Szmierekand Joshua Idehen on their UK tours. She is also an experienced community arts facilitator, creating participatory projects such as Blether, a collective performance event rooted in conversation, connection, and art in opposition to capitalism and fascism.
