Marina Moons: Poetic Musical Moods of the Moon

Delivering a variety of music, lyrics and literature, this local performance group takes inspiration from the 13 Moons to pay homage to the many shapes and moods of the moon. So come along for a selection box of songs, performance poetry and other theatrical treats.

Funded by the Marina Theatre Trust, the Marina Community Company is a theatre company that has been born out of a love of our local community. Bringing our art into the heart of the community, building confidence and nurturing talents of local artists, we are delivering a real mix of local talents. The group incorporates performers from our Next Stagers, Youth Theatre, Drama Hub and Music Groups.

With the 13 moons as our inspiration, we will showcase some of the amazing local talent, with live music, song, drama and performance poetry, whilst also showcasing the amazing costumes created for the festival. Our performers will be delivering live theatre in the shape of song and poetry. We will bring drama to song lyrics, which will be performed in a way that changes how you view that song. Popular songs will be performed to give a whole new meaning to their lyrics. Get in the mood for some moon music and lyrics that enlighten and inspire your own creative spirit.
