NAIMA

With artistry that interweaves imagery and lyricism to explore life’s beauties and complexities, folk singer-songwriter, Naima, has been enchanting audiences with her intricate mix of arresting vocals, grounded songwriting and fingerpicked melodies to create an atmospheric and compelling performance.

About

Naima’s artistry interweaves imagery and lyricism to explore life’s beauties and complexities; the paradox of the personal found in the communal, the anguish and empowerment found in acts of resistance.

Her recent performances include appearances at the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, The Garage, notable popular nights in Norwich, such as Lights Out and Merchants House Sunday Sessions, as well as further afield at Out There Festival, the Banham Barrell, and the Seagull Theatre in Lowestoft. She is currently honing her artistry through Artist Develop opportunities, while writing and developing material for release.

Audiences love Naima’s expressive vocals, which can be both soft and powerful, and the way they can lose themselves in a moment with her, and indeed, this is her intention: to remind you there is always a story that we can get lost in, together.
