Norfolk Students’ Jazz Orchestra is an ensemble of young people from Norfolk schools who perform exciting repertoire from Big Band to modern jazz.

About

The group comprises of wind, brass & percussion instruments with keyboard and guitars. A more recent addition to the line-up is a fabulous vocalist who adds another dimension to the ensemble.

Repertoire is exciting and varied ranging from Big Band to modern jazz with the aim of supporting and nurturing jazz techniques including improvisation. The students select their own repertoire and often lead their own performances.

NSJO have performed at many prestigious events in the last few years including the Music for Youth National Festival in Birmingham and the Music for Youth Proms at the Albert Hall.
