About
Poet-for-hire Nathan Rodney-Jones writes custom poetry on a vintage typewriter. Give him a theme, topic or person and he’ll write you a bespoke poem on the spot. Pay what you will!
Nathan Rodney-Jones is a writer and performer working across theatre and poetry. A UEA creative writing graduate and former mentored playwright with Paines Plough, his work hopes to balance artistic playfulness with a vivid sense of the human. Nathan has written and performed solo shows: Arrivals and Departures; Travellers; and Tube Tops and Tribulations of a Falling Woman spanning poetry, monologue and drag tragi-comedy. As a plant-based non-AI poem generator, he works as a poet-for-hire writing custom poetry for strangers on a vintage typewriter at events, festivals and as a busker on the streets of Norwich. As a sometime drag act, he compares Barnstaple Fringe’s performer cabaret, where he has previously reviewed and volunteered in company liason.
His short plays One night only and Kin have been performed at INK Festival.
