Sizewell Creative Choir

16:30

The Sizewell Creative Choir brings colleagues together through inclusive, uplifting music-making led by Tim Brown and Nathan Williamson. Rehearsing in lunch breaks and after work, members of all experience levels enjoy singing, connecting, and performing across Suffolk and London as a growing creative community.

About

The Sizewell Creative Choir is an open and welcoming group for anyone who enjoys singing—whether you’ve sung in choirs for years or only ever in the shower. Recent sessions have included everything from Ed Sheeran’s Photograph to Sumer Is Icumen In, a 13th‑century medieval song.

Their aim is simple: to create a fun, relaxed space where people can switch off from daily pressures, try something new, and enjoy the collective joy of making music together.

Since starting regular rehearsals in September 2024, the choir has grown rapidly. They’ve performed across Suffolk and London, including a special invitation to lead the community in song at the VE Day 80 celebrations on Sizewell Beach. Their next major event is the King Arthur community opera at Snape Maltings on 8 July, where choir members will join local partners for a large‑scale creative performance.

With colleagues based all over the country, the choir offers a meaningful way to meet new people, build friendships, and connect with local communities through shared creativity.
